Mike Cooch | Kutenda Founder and CEO

Mike generates 6-7 Big Ideas before breakfast. (Conservative estimate.) Kutenda’s founder is a “serial entrepreneur” (that’s according to MSPmentor.net) with Texas-sized passions for marketing, business development, and technology. Mike’s last venture, Everon Technology Services, landed on the Inc. 5000 (an annual listing of the fastest-growing private companies in the nation) three consecutive years before he sold the company in 2011. Mike’s other passions include: meetings with clear agendas, chips and guacamole, and CSU football. His favorite quote helps explain his restless energy and infectious enthusiasm: “Always happy, never satisfied.”

James Omdahl | Director of Online Marketing

Known as ‘Big Papa’ in high school (he’s tall), James has held several marketing roles before coming to Kutenda—including a position at a Spanish startup called Enormo (which sounds vaguely x-rated but is actually a real estate search engine). James cut his teeth doing search marketing for an insurance lead generator called InsureMe, which, under his watch, ranked No. 1 for uber-competitive terms like “insurance quotes” and “auto insurance leads.” (This makes him a rockstar in SEO circles.) James’ marketing cred extends way back to his Big Papa days: “I actually lettered in marketing in high school,” says James. “Yes, you can letter in marketing.”

Ginevra Figg | Director of Marketing

Ginevra comes from a long line of high-achieving Italians with hard-to-pronounce names that begin with the letter G (starting with her great-grandfather Gugliemo Marconi, who invented the radio). A trailblazer in her own right, Ginevra has been on the vanguard of recent advances in communication, namely social media. Before coming to Kutenda, she held positions at OneRiot, a Boulder-based startup recently acquired by Walmart, and Saatchi and Saatchi. Ginevra has been instrumental in Kutenda’s rise from “nebulous idea in Mike’s head” to “leading provider of online marketing services to SMBs.” Also, she’ll drink you under the table.

Sarah Miller | Director of Human Resources

Kutenda has a pretty kickass culture, and that’s largely due to the efforts of our resident Swiss Army knife, Sarah Miller. Sarah’s skill set is as diverse as they come; one minute she’s balancing the books and the next she’s planning a company outing to a local distillery. “I have a passion for startup companies,” says Sarah. “There is nothing like the hustle and chaos of a growing business, and being involved in building it from the ground up.” Sarah’s poise under pressure has earned her one impressive fan: Robert De Niro. (In her past life as a restaurant manager, she oversaw the food and beverage service at De Niro’s wedding in upstate New York.)

Caroline McNally | Director of Services

When you have a small company that provides an extensive menu of complex marketing services to several hundred clients in a handful of different time zones … you have the daily makings for Exxon-Valdez-style disaster. Unless, of course, you have Caroline leading your crew. Our service captain, Caroline keeps the USS Kutenda firing on all cylinders and away from rocky shores. (It helps that she can swear like a sailor.) A Florida native, Caroline graduated with a degree in Corporate Communications and Business from Elon University in North Carolina, where, presumably, she learned how take care of business (and curse a blue streak).
